Patal Bhuvaneshwar is positioned at an altitude of approximately 4,450 feet above sea level. Patal Bhuvaneshwar is situated about 14 km from the town of Gangolihat and 30 km from the town of Berinag. In Patal Bhuvaneshwar, the only magnetism is the underground lime stone cave which is believed to enshrine Lord Shiva and 33 crore gods. At the doorway of the cave temple complex is a Shiv-ling where devotees offer their prayers while waiting for their turn to go in the cave. The cave is 160 meters long and 90 feet deep from the point of doorway of the cave temple.

Kotmanya

To be found 25kms from Patal Bhuvaneshwar, the places is well-known for its tranquil attractiveness and survival of musk dear in this area. There is Musk Deer Research Centre in Kotmanya as well which helps in preventing extinction of these mysterious creatures.

Bageshwar

It is to be found 84kms from Patal Bhuvaneshwar at the meeting of Saryu and Gomti Rivers. Bageshwar derives its name from Bagnath, a well-known temple in this area. Yearly, Bagnath attracts 1000s of pilgrims from all over as it is believed that Lord Shiva wandered here as a tiger. The well-liked Uttarayani fair is held annually in January in Bageshwar and it is too used as the base camp by trekkers for Pindari.
